Dreadlands, a mix of post-apocalyptic tactics and MMO, comes to Early Access this week

The turn-based tactics game "Dreadlands" will be released this week on March 10. The game is set in a "colorful apocalypse" where you command a gang of outlaw weirdos to hunt and eat radioactive rocks and make themselves awesome. It's a pretty standard tactics game, consisting of turn-based shooter battles and a strategic meta-game to assemble them, but with the added oddity of being able to fight other people. We first saw this system when Blackfox Studios presented this game last year, and now we get to play it. It should be noted that the publisher of Dreadlands is also publishing the excellent Warhammer: Vermintide.

Dreadlands will have two of the three unique factions playable at launch. It will also feature a card-based tactical power system and a tug-of-war-like morale system during combat. At launch, there will be two background campaigns, one for each game, and a main story campaign that will explore the core lore of the Dreadlands world. There will also be murders, like the one in the GIF below. Frankly, it's a lot more stylish than your average turn-based game, and Dreadlands is available on Steam and the official website.
