Doom Eternal is slowly but surely approaching release at the end of this month, and it can do 1000 fps. (It can't.) Can cause extreme physical stress. No microtransactions or in-game store. Metal. Very metal. And today it was revealed what things you need to install on your PC to play this game.

Sometimes the system requirements are surprisingly light, as in the case of Valorant, and sometimes the opposite is true; in the case of Doom Eternal, it is definitely the latter. The minimum specs are far from minimal, so keep your purse strings tight. On the other hand, if you're lucky enough to play with some serious iron, it will look good.

The 3.3Ghz Core i5 and GTX-970 GPU are not the most advanced, but still "out there" as minimum specs. But this is not entirely unexpected: the minimum requirements for the 2016 "Doom" reboot were also quite stringent for the time.

If you happened to buy the physical version of "Doom Eternal," you might notice that these specs don't quite match what is written on the box: Windows 8.1 support has been removed (most AMD drivers no longer support it) and the " recommended" specs are now 8GB instead of 16GB, a more detailed breakdown of GPU and CPU for minimum and recommended levels is given, and the minimum image quality resolution has been raised from 720p to 1080p. The specs for the Ultranight Nakai are not listed on the box at all. [But the important thing to note is that it will run on the recommended specs listed on the box, and frankly, if you are still using Windows 8.1, you should probably do something about these specs before you try any more new games.
