Stardew Valley has secrets yet to be discovered, creator believes

There are many nifty little secrets that developer Eric Baron has worked into "Stardew Valley". They include a little hidden animation on the title screen, finding Santa and his reindeer in the December 25 shipping menu, and an incident involving the mayor's lucky purple shorts.

But of the handful of secrets that avid players have found, Barone says there are more; if you thought you'd found all of Stardew Valley's secrets, it's time to fire up the farm again.

In response to a tweet asking if there are any secrets yet to be discovered in "Stardew Valley," Barone said, "So far, I think this is true: in a game like Stardew Valley, if you sneak in one or two (or even 10) secrets, the first number you add is There are plenty of opportunities to forget exactly how many you added in the first place.

Given the complex nature of some of the many secrets that Barone has placed in the game, it is not difficult to believe that there could be more. For example, to obtain the legendary Galaxy Sword, one must collect all four dwarven scrolls, translate them, solve the riddle, go to the desert, equip the prismatic shard, and stand in the middle of the four pillars until the sword is obtained. Other secrets are painfully obscure, such as the fact that if you shake a certain bush northwest of Pelican Town at exactly 12 p.m., you get a stuffed Junimo.

Barone released a massive 1.4 update to Stardew Valley in November and may have snuck in some secrets for unsuspecting players to find. If not, another free content update is planned.

Also in Stardew Valley news, Barone announced that he is working on two new projects: a non-agricultural project set in the Stardew game world, and a second project, which he hopes to release in the near future. Afterwards, the comments got so heated that he had to politely ask everyone to please calm down.
