Number of concurrent players for CS:GO exceeds 1 million.

Here's a record: Counter-Strike: Global Offensive has surpassed 1 million concurrent players for the first time since its release in 2012; after eight years of steady rises and falls, drops and rises, CS:GO is a game that will never, ever die. In fact, it is clear at this point that CS:GO is only going to get stronger. Today at around 14:20 GMT, CS:GO reached a peak of 1,007,062 players, about 75,000 more than the previous record, and Valve seems pretty happy:

Just earlier this year CS:GO took over the top spot from Dota 2 on Steam and has Since then, it has been moving forward at a furious pace. Since then, the momentum has been unstoppable. Last month, CS:GO broke the concurrent connection record twice in just a few days. It is no coincidence that these records came during the peak evening gaming hours in densely populated areas of the China time zone.
