Dell Gaming PC with GTX 1660 Ti now only $664

Building your own gaming PC can be fun, but we're not going to shy away from getting an off-the-shelf desktop with everything ready to go. Currently, Dell's entry-level gaming PC with an Nvidia GTX 1660 Ti graphics card is down to $664, making it one of the cheapest desktops with this GPU.

The PC's default configuration includes a 6-core/6-thread Intel Core i5-9400 processor, Nvidia GTX 1660 Ti graphics card with 6GB of VRAM, 8GB of 2666MHz DDR4 memory, a 128GB boot SSD, a game 1TB 7200RPM hard drive for storage, and a 360W power supply are included.

These specs are not bad for the price, but there are two main bottlenecks: first, the RAM is only 8GB, and many games are starting to demand 16GB. Second, the small 128GB boot SSD means that most files have to be moved to a 1TB hard drive. [An additional 8GB of RAM will only cost about $40, and a large capacity 1TB SSD will cost about $100. You can choose different storage and RAM options on the product page, but Dell charges more than the cost of buying and installing the parts yourself.
