Prepare for Doom Eternal with Launch FAQs and Known Issues List

Doom Eternal is less than 48 hours away from launch. But that doesn't mean there will be any problems at all when it reaches us, so Bethesda has put together a very handy "Launch FAQ" and overview of known issues.

The information in the FAQ includes what Doom Eternal is (in case you don't know, it's a fast-paced, violent, first-person shooter that pits players against hordes of demonic enemies), system requirements, where savegames are stored and display drivers that should be installed, mainly those already in the public domain.

But it also touches on some of the unknowns, such as how to use Photo Mode, what to do if you get stuck or have not received your pre-order or deluxe edition items, and what to do if the game starts up with a black screen. There is also a promise that "Empowered Demons" will be added to the game in a future update, but nothing about what they actually are.

A list of known issues would probably be more useful, as it covers what to watch out for and what to avoid from the start.

Account/Entitlement Redemption:

PC Technical Issues:

This list will undoubtedly grow and evolve. In fact, the FAQ recommends referring to this list for troubleshooting tips should you run into trouble in the future. We, too, have noted problems that appear when Doom Eternal goes live.

Doom Eternal will be released on March 20. There will be no death match, but you will likely be chasing around a green question mark.
