General
Itch.io's indie developers are offering free games to help the self-isolated.

On Itch.io, many indie developers offer their games at heavily discounted prices, in some cases completely free.

This is part of a coordinated effort by both Itch and the developers themselves to reduce the stress caused by social distancing; Itch's related list, called "Games to help you stay inside," features free or relatively inexpensive titles

The listings are also available at.

There are some big titles on this list. Mutant soap opera Mutazione, one of the winners at last night's IGF Awards, is currently listed at $14.99 (25% off). Elsewhere, Vlambeer's "Nuclear Throne" is available for free, and the niche but almost unanimously acclaimed "Wilmot's Warehouse" is $10.49 (30% off).

There is another list of cheap/free games, curated by an Itch user named avie, called "Self-isolation on a budget." There are crossovers, of course, but avie's list seems to feature a lot of smaller games from lesser-known developers, most of which are completely free. Nevertheless, there are a few titles that look familiar, such as "Where The Water Tastes Like Wine" and "Gladiabots".

If you're at home and looking for something to do without spending a dime, check out Itch and avie's listings; with over 100 games available, you're sure to find something you like without spending a dime.

Cheers, Eurogamer.
