A recent announcement confirmed that "Splinter Cell's" Sam Fisher will appear in "Ghost Recon Breakpoint" in a new crossover adventure.
The official trailer for the new mission, titled "Deep State," features a phone call between Fisher and a correspondent from Ghosts of Aurore. It can be seen below.
The conversation begins with Fischer's instantly recognizable voice. 'Husky, it's Deep Blue,' he says.
"Roger, Deep Blue," comes the reply. Long time no see."
Fisher announces that he finally has some information on the Aurore situation. He further mentions the Terminator, which was a hostile force in the previous Breakpoint limited time event. At this point, the trailer shows a metal skull-faced super-soldier with red eyes and a high-tech weapon in front of him.
"Anyway, we may need your help to break in," Fisher concludes, likely setting the precedent for the mission to come.
"That can be arranged, buddy."
Fisher has not appeared in the "Ghost Recon" series since his mission in "Wildlands," so it is currently unclear how he will be involved in the new adventure at Breakpoint.
However, the last time he appeared, players had a chance to get night vision goggles, so it is possible that a similar incentive will be set up this time around.
Deep State is scheduled to be released on March 24, 2020.
