World of Warcraft" Distributes 100% Bonus XP for the Next Month

There is a lot of advice out there about what to do during a pandemic, either to soundly follow the ethic of social distancing or to actually stay away from others because of isolation. The World Health Organization (WHO) states that one should not smoke or drink alcohol because one does not want to compromise one's immune system. So what about something equally addictive? Let's take a moment to... World of Warcraft. Yes, the game that once caused a terrible pandemic wants you to play a little while you are in quarantine.

"If you're in a house and you decide to return to Azeroth," a post on Blizzard's website reads, "Players who log into World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth in the next month will gain experience to gain a nice buff called "Winds of Wisdom" that increases their experience gain by 100%. This is a fantastic doubling of progression speed, and frankly, we can't complain.

World of Warcraft still ranks on our list of best MMOs nearly 16 years after its initial debut. The last few years have been a huge success, and despite its strange and precarious situation, the game has a lot to offer. From the game's raids and endless battles with modders who break them to the unexciting endings of otherwise great expansions, there actually hasn't been a better time to try WoW in years.
