General
Control finally got the ability to re-spec and better maps.

The first expansion to Control, Remedy's strange tale of another dimension in the world's most interesting office building, will be released on March 26. The expansion, titled "The Foundation," will delve (literally) deeper into the Old House and reveal what Operations Director Helen Marshall was up to when she disappeared after saying, "I'm going to take a look.

A new "Control" update will also be released on March 26. The shield rush in the teaser below looks like fun: control is good for pummeling people, and few things feel as intuitively raw and powerful as puncturing someone with a wall.

Improved map visibility would also be a big plus. (Part of that impossibility is due to the complexity of the Old House itself, which is fun to explore to figure out the lay of the land, but at some point you really just want to get where you're going.)

But perhaps the biggest change is the ability to redistribute Jesse's skill points. Control is never too stingy with points, but I've always been a little nervous about commitment and as a result spent a good portion of the game carrying around points instead of using them. being able to Respec would alleviate that pressure and allow for the kind of Control It would allow for the kind of experimentation that the game truly deserves.

Despite its release on Thursday, the price of the expansion, The Foundation, has not yet been announced. It is, however, available on the Epic Games Store wish list. (We will provide our impressions of The Foundation when it is released later this week.

The March update will include better maps, re-skinning, and more, and will be free for everyone to play.
