General
The speed run for "Doom Eternal" is already under 90 minutes.

I can't say I'm surprised that people are completing the fastest shooters faster than I had imagined; Doom Eternal's speedrun is already under 2 hours, and these runs by BloodThunder and CreeperHntr have shaved another 30 minutes off

.

Nevertheless, these are exploratory plays to test out early glitches and strategies. While these runners are certainly Doom experts, don't expect them to endlessly demonstrate their FPS skills on a difficulty level like Nightmare. However, you can expect to find Doomguy floating and hovering above almost every environment. It was just released last Friday. This is a mining period, and the speedrunners are doing their best to line up their unstable tracks and break the complex, multi-layered work that dozens of people have spent years building.

Still, there are some great moves to be seen. The ballista is a good propellant for the Doom Guy, gliding across vast expanses or skipping along the ground like a stone on the surface of a calm pond. And since falling into a pit won't kill you, you can enjoy an elaborate checkpoint skip by playing around on or behind the level's geometry. See below.
