Computex 2020 postponed and scaled back

Computex 2020 has been postponed until the end of September 2020 due to the new coronavirus and will be a smaller show. TAITRA, the event's organizer, announced that Computex 2020 will now run for three days, from September 28 to 30. The reshuffled show will be held in Hall 2 of the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center and will focus on 5G and telecommunications, smart solutions, gaming, and startups.

Computex is an important event for many hardware manufacturers and is used as a platform to showcase their latest hardware. The event was scheduled to run from June 2-6, but Taiwan recently closed its borders to foreigners, making it unlikely that the event would ever take place. Given the importance of this event, many felt that a postponement was desirable, but that the show should be canceled before it was announced. Of course, this could change.

Several events were postponed or cancelled due to the new coronavirus (COVID-19). Some of these events have turned to virtual conferences as an alternative, but this doesn't work very well when you are talking about the biggest PC hardware show on the planet -- although some online conferences may still take place at the original times.
