Upgrade your home network with a high-speed Netgear Wi-Fi 6 router.

In January, we introduced a sale on Netgear's Nighthawk AX4 wireless router, which supports the latest Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) standard. At Walmart, the price was reduced again, this time to $109.99.

This is $10 more than the January sale price, but still a great bargain for one of the best gaming routers. Originally priced at $199, it has been on sale on Amazon for the past few weeks for $159.99 (Netgear's latest MSRP). That means you're saving quite a bit of money on a high-speed router.

There's really no such thing as future-proofing, but you can prepare for the near future with a Wi-Fi 6 router; the main advantage of the Wi-Fi 6 standard is that it is designed to handle multiple devices simultaneously. While there are probably not many devices with Wi-Fi 6 adapters right now, they are starting to appear (on laptops, PCs, and smartphones) and will work best with Wi-Fi 6 routers.

Meanwhile, your current wireless devices will work fine with the Nighthawk AX4. This is a dual-band model offering speeds of up to 600 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band and 2,400 Mbps on the 5 GHz band. It also has a built-in 4-port switch for wired LAN connectivity and a USB 3.0 port so that external storage drives and printers can be connected and shared on the network.
