Since the end of last year's Black Friday/Cyber Monday season, it has been rare to find a gaming laptop with Nvidia's GTX 1660 Ti graphics card for under $900. Thankfully, Asus' TUF laptop with this GPU has dropped to $849.99 at Walmart.

The model on sale comes with a 4-core/8-thread AMD Ryzen 7 3750H processor, Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti graphics card, 8GB of RAM, 256GB NVMe SSD, and a 15.6-inch 1080p display. It has a It also features a backlit keyboard with 1.8 mm travel and an "enhanced chassis."

The GTX 1660 Ti graphics card in this laptop can handle most titles without problems, but Asus has made some other cuts to achieve the $850 price point. 8GB of RAM is the main problem, and you need 16GB to run smoothly. The 256GB SSD is also small considering the large download sizes that come with most open world games.

Thankfully, Asus has made most of the TUF laptop's components easily upgradeable, so you can add RAM or replace the main drive later. The product description for the model being sold does not mention any additional drives, so the 2.5" bay may be empty. If so, SSDs or hard drives can be added later, as long as they fit the 2.5" form factor.
