Released in 2014, Child of Light is a charming side-scrolling RPG developed by Ubisoft Montreal and directed by Patrick Plourde of Assassin's Creed 2 and Far Cry 3 fame. Ubisoft is currently giving away this game, and if you get it by March 28, you can keep it forever.

What sets this game apart is its art style. When Andy reviewed it at launch, he said it was wonderfully polished but "as deep as the tip of your finger." But expect a good time.

Quite a bit of software is currently available for free: "Drawful 2," available for free download until April 11, is a fun local party game, but if you want to make your own game, the Unity tutorial is free.
