Tactical multiplayer shooter Insurgency: one of 2019's hidden gems, Sandstorm, is free to play from now until next Wednesday (April 1).

You can get it from the Steam page, and if you enjoy it, you can buy it for half price (£12.99/$14.99) during the free play period.

It's a fairly realistic squad-based shooter, with new guns, maps, and modes being added all the time, with the tug-of-war-style PvP "Frontline" mode standing out. The latest update, 1.6, adds full mod support, and all mod downloads are now handled within the game client. In addition, a new map, Power Plant, has been added, and all maps now support the Domination mode added in 1.5.
