"Mount & Blade 2: Banner Road" has been one of our most anticipated games since it was announced in 2012, and instead of reading PC gaming news, you might be playing it right this very second.

If you weren't paying attention last week, this may come as a surprise. Developer Taleworlds has decided to cheer up the gloomy world by moving the release date up a day and lowering the price by 10% (20% if you also own the other games in the series).

Seven years of constant notice means a lot of anticipation, but according to TaleWorlds, it will be a year or so before we see the final result. Nevertheless, it seems that quite a bit is already in the game.

There is a campaign, where you can roam the world, get involved in battles, siege castles, get your hands on empire management, and start a family when you are ready to put your feet up. And if you're the kind of person who hates losing, you can also go around killing your friends, with or without reinforcements, in four multiplayer modes.
