General
A $10,000 budget will get you a refreshed Rush desktop from Maingear.

Maingear, a stalwart in the boutique computer business, has refreshed its high-end Rush desktops with a new hardware selection, refreshed liquid cooling options, and a closer partnership with Asus and its Republic of Gamers division. The new Rush desktop features. [You can now configure your Rush desktop with the latest Intel and AMD hardware, including the Core i9 10980XE or Ryzen 9 3900X processors, along with up to 128GB of DDR4-3600 RAM and every high-end GPU you can think of. Whichever you choose, an Asus ROG motherboard will support your setup.

A fine configuration to be sure, but since window shopping is free, I decided to go on a $10,000 budget binge and see what I could get. Here's the result:

I came in $9,744 under budget, but my boss is not convinced by my sales pitch that he can save $256 by letting me use this setup. Crap!

Incidentally, had I opted for a pair of Titan RTX cards instead of the 2080 Ti cards, I could have easily exceeded my self-imposed limit, but that's just stupid. After all, I've already ponied up $200 for the RGB fan upgrade, which is more obnoxious than the $2,000 upcharge to hardline liquid cooling in black and gold trim.

I also configured an AMD system on the same budget. Here's how it looks:

Overall similar, but with twice the RAM, smaller HDD, and different CPU/Mobo combo. The price is $9,990.

If you want to window shop for yourself or actually buy a Rush, visit the landing page. Alternatively, it will inevitably be refreshed again when Intel's Comet Lake-S desktop CPUs arrive. And it's not just Maingear; system builders are planning to include Intel's latest silicon in new and existing product lines.

You won't have to wait much longer either. Rumor has it that Comet Lake-S CPUs with up to 10 cores and 20 threads will finally show up next month.
