Amazon reportedly hopes to release Project Tempo, a game streaming platform, this year.

The New York Times reports that Amazon's rumored game streaming platform could launch this year, but like many launches, it has been interrupted by a coronavirus outbreak.

The NYT reports that the company is apparently planning to release an early version of the platform, codenamed "Project Tempo," but according to a person close to the project, the quarantine and lockdown mean that the release date is still up in the air and 2021 They said it may not appear until 2021.

Although not officially announced, Amazon was rumored to be planning to release it this year. Not much is known about this platform yet, but we already know what is coming.

Amazon's in-house studio has three games in development, two of which will be released in May: "New World," Amazon's frontier MMO; "Crucible," a team-based shooter; and the free-to-play " Lord of the Rings" MMO.
