No more DLC for locksmiths.

Ubisoft San Francisco has announced that it will not be producing DLC for Rocksmith, a rhythm game that uses a real guitar as a controller (using the Rocksmith Real Tone Cable, which connects to the guitar via USB) and teaches you songs as you play, and will be moving to a new project.

The last song pack offered a song by Swedish progressive metal band Opeth, bringing the total number of songs available for Rocksmith to 1,570, released over 383 weeks.

While no more Rocksmith DLC will be released, weekly online content is still planned, according to Ubisoft's blog. The Rocksmith Dev Stream will continue (in a new format) and there will be more surprises."

No details were given about the new projects the studio has transitioned to." They also say they "will continue to share updates on the new project on their website, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram as soon as they are ready.
