Save $40 on an overclocked Gigabyte Radeon RX 5700 XT graphics card

The Radeon RX 5700 XT is one of the best graphics cards in the sub-$500 price range, with a handful of custom-cooled models selling for under $400. Gigabyte's Radeon RX 5700 XT Gaming OC is on eBay (via Newegg ), currently selling for $369.99, is not usually one of them.

The card normally retails for $409.99; Newegg's website offers a $10 discount on the same card by applying the coupon code "VGAPCRW4742" at checkout, but even then the price only drops to $399.99. In other words, it is still more profitable to go through eBay.

My only concern about buying graphics cards now is that both AMD and Nvidia are expected to release new models - RDNA 2 and Ampere, respectively - later this year. We will have to weigh the pros and cons of playing the waiting game. [But if you need to upgrade now, the sale price will help stave off the purchase when something newer and shinier comes along; the 5700 XT is a good choice for 1440p and 1080p games, and the 5700 XT is a good choice for the more advanced games that are being played at 1440p and 1080p. In general, it is faster than the GeForce RTX 2060 Super and can even drive 4K resolutions in some games, if you are comfortable going below 60fps (it averaged around 50fps in the 11 games we used to test this card in our review).

The card comes with a mild factory overclock, with Gigabyte reporting a base clock of 1,650MHz (up from 1,605MHz) and a "game" clock of 1,795MHz (up from 1,755MHz). In addition, a custom triple-fan cooling solution keeps temperatures down.
