As we noted yesterday, the first gaming laptops powered by AMD's latest Ryzen CPUs are trickling into retailers. At the same time, this means vendors are clearing out their old inventory, paving the way for some interesting deals. For example, the Asus ROG Zephyrus G is on sale today at Best Buy for $899.99.

This model does not feature the flashy new Ryzen 4000 series mobile CPU, but it does have a 15.6" IPS display (1080p), a 4-core/8-thread Ryzen 7 3750H processor, 16GB of RAM, a GeForce GTX 1660 Ti ( Max-Q) GPU, 512GB NVMe SSD, and other respectable hardware.

This is a strong configuration for gaming in the under-$1,000 category; the $300 discount is a considerable savings, so it appears that Best Buy will need to clear space for future models to be released.

Even more notable is its form factor: the Zephyrus G is a thin and light laptop, measuring only 0.78 inches thick and weighing 4.63 pounds. The laptop has three USB 3.0 Type-A ports, one USB 3.1 Type-C port, HDMI output, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
