SEGA Announces that the French Amazon listing of the PC version of "Persona 5" is "erroneous".

It's no secret that Sony is moving to bring first-party games to the PC, starting with Horizon: Zero Dawn. Today, two more PlayStation exclusives have unexpectedly appeared on Amazon France: Windows. The games are Days Gone and Persona 5 Royal.

The two games are slightly different cases: Sony owns the studio that developed "Days Gone", just as it owns Guerrilla Games, the developer of "Horizon". Persona 5" is currently a PlayStation exclusive, and while "Persona" games have historically tended to stick to one platform, Atlus, a subsidiary of Sega, is developing and publishing the game. So it is odd to see Persona listed on Amazon France at the exact same time, even if Sony is making moves to publish the first-party game on PC.

I contacted SEGA about Persona 5 Royal, and they are still working on it.

Update: Sony told IGN that the list is not accurate. We have not announced that these games will be released on PC."

The company stated.

There is plenty of other evidence to suggest that these listings are inaccurate: five years ago, Amazon France listed From Software's PlayStation-exclusive "Bloodborne" for the PC, but this release has yet to happen No. As a ResetEra contributor pointed out, Amazon France also still has a listing for the Xbox action game "Scalebound," which was cancelled a few years ago. Twitter user Wario64 dug up several other Sony listings, including the Uncharted Collection. Other retailers like Walmart have had similar fake listings in the past. [Amazon France listed the PC version of Horizon: Zero Dawn before it was announced, so it has at least one advantage. While it seems likely that Sony's first-party game will be released on PC, one should not assume that these listings are a confirmation.
