Crysis Remastered Comes to PC with Ray Tracing and High-Res Textures

Update: Crytek has now officially confirmed the release of Crysis Remastered. No release date has been announced yet, but the updated website, crysis.com, says "coming soon."

See original story here:

Will Crysis work? Once upon a time, this was the benchmark for new gaming PCs: Crytek's semi-open jungle shooter, released in 2007, was famous for its vast, detailed tropical environments and sandbox combat. And soon, Crysis Remastered will improve the visuals and allow you to relive it all.

The game was revealed on Crytek's website, seemingly by accident. That page is no longer there, but screenshots are all over social media.

According to the site's official description, Crysis Remastered will feature "new graphics capabilities," high-quality textures, and "CRYENGINE's native hardware and API-independent ray tracing solution."

The "Crysis" series seems to have lost its way as the series progressed, with the original featuring stunningly chaotic and freeform action. But even with the addition of ray tracing, can it still hold up nearly 12 years later?

Thanks, Eurogamer.
