Actor hints that "Far Cry 3" villain Vass may return in some form.

The 2012 release of Far Cry 3 was extremely well-received, and not just because it reiterated the series' open-world shooter blueprint. It also featured the series' best villain, Vaas Montenegro. Vaas is remembered fondly by fans (despite being quite scary), and Michael Mando, who played him, is also remembered fondly.

In a recent Reddit AMA, Mando hinted that the character might be back. 'Verse is my spirit animal,' Mando wrote in response to one question. 'Co-creating that character will always be important to me. I can still recognize him as a verse and feel an overflowing love for that character. Perhaps I will reprise the role in the near future.

While it is entirely possible that he is teasing, this comment leaves open the possibility that Vass will return to the "Far Cry" series in some form. Although Vass technically died in "Far Cry 3," there is no stopping speculation that he may not actually be dead. Besides, mere death has never stopped the return of a beloved character to a profitable entertainment franchise.

Since "Far Cry 3," Mando has appeared in "Better Call Saul" as Nacho Varga, a drug cartel member with a big heart. He also played Scorpion in "Spider-Man: Homecoming."
