Fallout 76 creatures led players to treasure

If you're walking through the wastelands of West Virginia in "Fallout 76," be kind to the Radstag.

Players are discovering a new species of mutant deer, the "observant" Radstag, and players who restrain themselves from shooting it have a bit of a reward. This is one of the new random encounters in survival MMOs, and chasing that deer can reveal hidden loot.

In a post on the Fallout76 subreddit, the community manager confirmed that this friendly creature leads to "little treasures" and that it is not just a coincidence.

The "Fallout 76 Wastelanders" update has finally become more like a "Fallout" game by introducing a large number of NPCs into the sandbox to liven up the place, but it's not just dead-eyed settlers and bandits that make the wasteland feel more dynamic. The observant Radstag has yet to discover many other diversions and random encounters. I never would have guessed this last year, but now I'm really enjoying it.
