Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Multiplayer Free This Weekend

"Call of Duty: Modern Warfare" multiplayer will go free-to-play this weekend, with a special playlist available for the standalone battle royale "Call of Duty: Warzone".

According to Charlie Intel, this special playlist will support 6vs6 and 10vs10 gameplay on five maps:

The free weekend begins April 24 at 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET and ends at the same time on April 27. If you haven't installed Warzone yet, you may want to get started now: downloads of the standalone Warzone client can be up to 101 GB, and Activision said in March that "depending on bandwidth, service provider, and other regional factors, It could take several hours to complete," it warned.

There are also several other helpful guides for those just getting started with Warzone: a Verdansk map guide, the best builds for the M4A1 assault rifle, setting adjustments, and a breakdown of Warzone's cross-play support with PS4 and Xbox One.
