The long-in-development "Resident Evil 4 HD Project" is, as the name implies, a complete remake of the original game in the purest sense. Nevertheless, with rumors that Capcom is working on a remake of "Resident Evil 4," it is not surprising that the project's status is in question.

As for the fan-driven HD project, the currently available builds date back to June 2018, but are already available for download. Updates are still ongoing, mainly graphical improvements.
