General
For a while, the Epic Games Store will require two-factor authentication when requesting free games.

From now until May 21, two-factor authentication will be required to claim free games on the Epic Games Store; according to Epic, the requirement is intended to encourage users to voluntarily enable two-factor authentication.

"This change is intended to encourage players to take steps to enhance the security of their Epic accounts. If security is not already enabled, a notification will appear each time a user clicks the "Get" button.

"We understand that this is a minor inconvenience for some users, but we want to provide the best solution to protect your Epic account.

It's none of my business, but if two-factor authentication is offered, I think it should be used. Because you have to click a few more times than normal, or worse, you may have to pick up your smart phone. Too many clicks, too much smartphone handling: ...... It may really hurt you. But it might save your life (or more likely, your privacy).

For The King is currently available for free on the Epic Games Store, while Amnesia: The Dark Descent and Crashlands will be available starting April 30.
