Rocket League's Heat Seeker mode returns at the end of May.

General
Rocket League's Heat Seeker mode returns at the end of May.

"Heat Seeker," a limited-time mode of "Rocket League" (the ball comes home in the goal). Good news for me: Heat Seeker will be back on May 21. Heat Seeker will be back on May 21 and will appear until May 26.

Limited-time modes aren't the only thing you'll see in Rocket League next month: Psyonix has announced that it will be entering the "Modes of May" event, with a new mode every weekend. Here's the schedule:

Dropshot Rumble, which obviously combines the dropshot mode with the Rumble's special abilities, upsets me on a metaphysical level. I look forward to playing it this weekend.

Beachball is back from last summer: it's a 2v2 mode that lightens the ball and adds a curve to the shot.

Boomer Ball has nothing to do with people born in the 50s or 60s, but they are welcome to play. This is the first time it will be an official mode, but it has existed as a popular custom game mode: make the ball super light, super fast, super bouncy, and give everyone unlimited boosts and 1.5x boost strength.

Boomer mode also allows for reckless shots. This is from Redditor awjjack:

Each mode will go live and end at 9am PST on the scheduled day. They will not be ranked, but will earn standard XP for playing.

If popular, Psyonix may consider adding a permanent ranked system alongside additional modes Rumble, Dropshot, Hoops, and (the best mode) Snow Day. For now, each mode is only available for a few days.
