Kind Donations Turn "Animal Crossing" Museum into a Bloody Nightmare

Finally free from the clutches of Animal Crossing: As far as this Animal Crossing-inspired indie horror game "Kind Donations" is concerned, it probably isn't doing very well. As far as this Animal Crossing-inspired indie horror game "Kind Donations" is concerned, it probably isn't doing very well.

If you don't know that this game is taking the Switch by storm, here's what you need to know: the Brothers are curators at the Museum of the Islands, who will take in any new fossils, fish or bugs you happen to catch or dig up. He is a friendly, positive little guy, but despite being surrounded by bugs, he is utterly terrified of them.

Kind Donations turns the Brothers' fear into a brief, nightmarish romp in a museum where he must confront his worst fears. This warped version of the New Horizons museum is dark, blood-soaked, and filled with escaped insects, and as much as I hate bugs, this is just as terrifying as Brothers.

But the Brothers are braver than I thought. Even when the fear becomes real, he eagerly walks around the dark museum, trying to return the insects to their original exhibit. He is a giant owl, no doubt capable of squashing and eating bugs, but he is too gentle for that.

The game takes about 15 minutes to play and can be downloaded for free on Itch.
