Rebel Inc, the rebel game, now has a campaign mode.

The latest update to Rebel Inc: Escalation introduces a campaign mode, shifting the focus of the game from a single playable scenario to an interconnected campaign. In the new campaign, insurgents adapt as they progress from region to region, adding new tactics. For example, insurgents may learn to bypass rivers. There may also be new narrative events, such as economic recessions or coups d'état, that affect not just one region but multiple regions.

In Rebel Inc, players take on the role of a counterinsurgency commander in a vague country loosely modeled after Afghanistan, the latest title from Plague Inc creator Ndemic, which was released in Early Access on Steam last year.Plague Inc., the game model is based on real-world principles and was developed in collaboration with experts. Saeed T. Jawad, Afghanistan's ambassador to the UK, described Rebel Inc as "a polished and engaging game. It shows the complexities of war and insurgency with interesting options for achieving success through stability and peace." Perhaps the best endorsement for a game of this kind.

Rebel Inc: Escalation is available on Steam for $15. You can also read the full patch notes for the new update here.
