The ambitious Beyond Skyrim modding project has released a new developer diary highlighting the Roscrea zone, an island northeast of Skyrim inhabited by a precursor race related to the Nords of The Elder Scrolls. The diary focuses on the rugged volcanic island and its inhabitants. Rugged forested mountains surrounded by sweeping cliffs, hidden coves, and blue waters. Truly beautiful. There are also photos of the lovely new furniture they have made, which I would gladly own in real life if given the chance.

The Beyond Skyrim project is a group of modders working together on a series of compatibility zones to expand the Skyrim world. Their goal is to extend Skyrim not only to the world of The Elder Scrolls, such as the Cyrodiil province detailed in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, but also to smaller places like Roscrea.
