General
Disco Elysium can run on very low spec machines.

Tried to run Disco Elysium on my old Dell XPS 13 9360 with no luck. This game is a good RPG to play on a laptop, but preferably not on an oversized gaming laptop. The developer, ZA/UM, seems to understand this and has patched the game to work on basically anything.

And basically anything is not an exaggeration. If you have a low-spec work laptop and are itching to do a little R&R, you can probably run Disco Elysium.

Here are the new minimum requirements:

OS: Windows 7/8/10 processor Intel Core 2 Duo Memory: 2GB RAM Graphics: integrated or dedicated card, minimum 512MB memory DirectX: version 11

And here are the old minimum requirements are:

OS: Windows 7/8/10 processor Intel i5-7500 or AMD 1500 equivalent Memory: 4 GB RAM Graphics: Integrated Intel HD620 or equivalent DirectX: version 11

In addition, if you are using a Mac, Games now work on laptops more than 10 years old; 2009 MacBook Pros, iMacs, and Mac Minis will run the game, as will 2012 MacBook Airs.

If you still can't run the game, there is still hope." We're going to keep optimizing low enough to break through the crust on the other side of the planet," the ZA/UM update states. 'Show me a scrap calculator or a rusty adding machine and we'll do it. Disco elysium for everyone!"

This is Un

This seems to have been made possible with the move to a newer version of Unity and is mentioned in the patch notes. Most of these are optimizations and small bug fixes, but if you must read them, see the update notes.
