Steam's "Play Next" feature is ready to showcase recommendations

Steam's newest feature helps answer the eternal question, "What game should I play next?"

Play Next analyzes your game collection and makes suggestions based on what you might like, just like a regular recommendation feature. But instead of scouring the store for recommendations, it picks them out from the games you already own.

I have close to 1,000 games on Steam, so picking out a new game usually takes a while and I end up forgetting what I was looking for, leading to a bit of an existential crisis situation. play Next is exactly what I need, but after browsing its suggestions, I I'm not completely convinced.

There are some things that can't be considered, such as people owning multiple editions or copies of the same game. My first recommendation was Divinity: Original Sin - Enhanced Edition, but I have already finished playing the original version and am playing the Enhanced Edition on another platform. Apparently I have too many definitive editions.

The problem, though, is that I play so many titles on Steam for work that the algorithm must think I like everything. As a result, it spits out an incredibly wide selection of games. Despite this, I found at least one that I had completely forgotten about that I should definitely play: Enslaved: Odyssey to the West. Maybe the algorithm knows me after all. Terrifying.

You can find it in the library now, but if you don't want Steam to pester you for recommendations, you can disable Play Next and assign that line to another Steam feature.
