I didn't realize that today, May 15, is the fifth anniversary of the release of "Mad Max: Death Road to Fury" in North America. (But CD Projekt noticed, and in celebration of this momentous occasion, they have created a "Reaver" car that is fitting of the Cyberpunk 2077 theme.

It's a very appealing machine, at least if you like the "Rocca Lola ayatollah" aesthetic. According to images shared by lead quest designer Pawel Sasko, the Quadra Type 66 has been known to followers of cyberpunk 2077 for some time as the 1970 AMC Javelin. Quadra also built the V-Tech car featured in the Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay trailer shown at E3 2018.

And it's not just a one-time tip of the hat to George Miller and his associates.

Cyberpunk 2077 will be released on September 17, with more information (maybe a new gameplay demo?) at the Night City Wire digital event on June 11.
