Space Dwarf Mining Shooter Deep Rock Galactic Announces Ambitious Post-Release Plans

Deep Rock Galactic, which just launched this week, already has a number of new titles lined up, and the Steam announcement provides a fairly detailed roadmap for the coming year, starting with post-launch additions and focusing on increasing environment and objective types. Over the rest of the year, the developers intend to add more geographical features, two new biomes, two new mission types, and three new secondary objectives.

Deep Rock Galactic is a four-player co-op shooter in which drunken Space Marine dwarves collect ore and blast away swarms of slimy space bugs that are as silly as they are fun. (Regular updates have been made to the game throughout its Early Access period, and it would not be surprising if Ghost Ship Games ceased development before 2021. The purpose of the current update was actually gleaned from the game's community, which was asked in a recent post-game survey what updates players wanted. The overwhelming result was mission variety, which is what I wanted as well. It's not that there isn't variety in this game.

Deep Rock Galactic is available on Steam for $30 and has a user rating of 96% Positive.
