Epic Game Store adds self-service refunds and keyless integration

Epic continues to chip away at its store roadmap, removing several features from the list, including self-service refunds and keyless integration with more stores.

Instead of contacting Epic to request a refund, you can now open your transaction list and do it directly from there. Simply click on the game for which you wish to request a refund, and if eligible, you will be presented with the option.

Games must have been purchased within 14 days and only played for a maximum of 2 hours; if they have been banned or violate the Terms of Service, they are not eligible for a refund.

Epic has also partnered with Fanatical, Green Man Gaming, and Genba Digital to expand keyless purchases; when you link your Epic account to one of these stores, the game will automatically be added to your Epic account, so you do not need to replace your key. to your Epic account, and there is no need to exchange keys.

Other new additions include manual adjustment of downloads and support for five more currencies: cad, aud, sek, dkk, and nok. More features will be added soon, including a Mod Marketplace, Epic's version of the Steam Workshop. Epic is also working on an achievement system and will release more information soon.

The roadmap still leaves a lot to be desired, although there are no dates; Epic regularly delayed features and decided to adjust the roadmap last year and stopped organizing it by how many months away the features were. It is now broken down into those that have just shipped, those that will be released next, and those that are further out.
