"Half-Life" intro: Alyx's intro left me staring in amazement at everything in sight, from the massive fortress in the distance to the familiar roof of City 17.

If you want to relive that intro (or experience it for the first time) without a headset, I suggest you fire up Far Cry 5. Although not the first game that comes to mind when you want to visit City 17, someone has recreated the opening of "Half-Life: Alyx" using the map tool in "Far Cry 5. 3]

Placed on a balcony. From the items and furniture to the looming citadel, to the rooftops and boulevards below, this is a wonderful, faithful recreation by "Far Cry 5" map maker SaintPerkle (also posted on Reddit). Alix's surveillance office is also excellent, with even a camera outside the window. Sure, you can't have all the striders walking around town, but you can't have everything.

Of course, this is a Far Cry 5 map, so it quickly becomes very Far Cry. There are enemies in the elevators, in the offices, in the hallways, and on the rooftops. If you're interested in this map, search for a map named "Far Cry Alyx" or, if you're logged into Far Cry Arcade, check it out here.
