According to CoD leaker Okami, the next destination for Call of Duty is the Cold War. They teased the name by putting the subtitle "Call of Duty: Black Ops - Cold War" over the old Black Ops box art, which is consistent with other rumors and hints from Warzone.

Although their art skills are unsatisfactory, Okami has hit the mark on the rumor before, and Eurogamer reports that it was confirmed by its own sources. Last year, Kotaku also reported that a Cold War game featuring Vietnam was in the works, initially by Raven and Sledgehammer, but Treyarch has taken over.

"Call of Duty: Vietnam" has also been mentioned as a possible title, and YouTuber and Call of Duty tipster TheGamingRevolution recently claimed that it would not be a Black Ops game.

So, despite some conflicting reports, the consensus is that it will still have a Cold War theme. It is hardly a coincidence that the game coincides with Warzone, which may contain hidden Cold War secrets such as nuclear bunkers and Cold War-era reconnaissance aircraft; Warzone connects the different "Call of Duty" series, and it makes sense that hints of it would appear in a battle royale.
