Last week's free distribution of Grand Theft Auto 5 was the largest free distribution on the Epic Games Store to date. (Fortunately, there are no signs of the storefront collapsing at this point.)

Civilization 6 has been out for over three years, but Firaxis and 2K are still actively supporting it. In fact, earlier this month a new season pass with six DLCs was announced. Strategy games tend to get old, especially if they are as good as "Civ 6": we won't need another Civ game forever," a reviewer wrote.

Note that under Epic's new rules, you must have 2FA enabled on your account to claim the game; Civilization 6 will be available for free on the Epic Games Store until May 28 at 11 am PT.
