The "Borderlands 3" DLC tradition continues with "Bounty of Blood - A Fistful of Redemption," which will be released in June with a long, clunky title that doesn't fit neatly into the headline.

(Actually, that's the plot of the 1964 spaghetti western classic "A Fistful of Dollars," starring Clint Eastwood, but the homage cannot be overlooked.)

The "Borderlands 3" take takes us to the small town of Vestage on the planet Gehenna to confront a band of vicious bandits called the Devilriders who are terrorizing the local population. It's not exactly a Clint Eastwood movie (or a Kurosawa movie, or a Bruce Willis movie, take your pick), but it's a pretty standard western.

You'll meet new characters like Rose, who is skilled with pistols and blades, and Juno, a "rough-and-tumble brawler with a checkered past." Playing story missions and crew challenges will help the town regain its former glory, and the adventures will be narrated with character insights and commentary on the action.

Bounty of Blood also adds new objects such as the Jetbeast, a new hoverbike that can be equipped with a variety of weapons, the Traitorweed, which can turn enemies into allies (for a short time, of course), and the Breezebloom, which literally takes you to new heights. Objects will also be added. New Western-themed firearms will also be introduced.

Bounty of Blood - A Fistful of Redemption is the third of four campaign DLCs to be released for Borderlands 3 and will be released on June 25. It can be purchased on its own (price not yet announced, but the previous titles cost $15 each) and is also included in the season pass.
