As part of the Steam Game Festival, a demo of Grounded will be available on Steam.

Obsidian's small backyard survival game Grounded will launch in Steam Early Access on July 29, but before that, a free demo will be released on June 9 as part of the Steam Game Festival.

The demo features only the single-player component of the game and does not expect players to buddy up with friends. The demo will be available between June 9 and 14 and appears to be quite short, offering "a day as a shrunken teenager," according to Obsidian.

A Steam account is required to download the demo, which is also available as part of the Xbox Insiders program.

Grounded looks pretty cool and is basically Honey I Shrunk the Kids as a survival RPG. To see what the game is like, check out the nice gameplay video and the Steam page.

CORRECTION: A previous version of this article stated that you needed to wishlist "Grounded" on Steam to get the demo, but that is not necessary. All you need is a Steam account.
