EKWB Unveils CPU Water Block with Stars and Stripes to Help Disabled Veterans

EK, a manufacturer of custom liquid-cooled PCs and components, is releasing a limited edition Velocity CPU water block in honor of this Memorial Day Weekend. With a star-spangled red, white, and blue flag motif, the EK-Quantum Velocity Honor is the perfect centerpiece for any custom loop. And the best perk? For every block sold, $100 is donated to charity.

The money will be donated to Shellback Tech, a charity dedicated to donating two custom gaming/streaming PCs per month to disabled veterans and first responders. You can read more about the charity and its mission on Facebook.

The EK-Quantum Velocity Honor is available in two versions, one for AMD AM4 sockets and one for LGA 1155, 1156, 1150, 1151, 2011, 2011-3, 2066, and LGA 1200 (for Intel Comet Lake, product page) are available. Both feature RGB lighting around the perimeter of the block and are compatible with Asus Aura Sync, RGB Fusion, RGB Mystic Light, and ASRock Polychrome Sync.

The block itself is manufactured from solid nickel-plated brass, with the flag design printed on an aluminum top plate. The cold plate is made of copper and includes a thermal grizzly hydronaut tube for optimal contact with the IHS and best thermal performance. 2 G1/4 threaded connections are compatible and it is recommended to check for metal contamination elsewhere in the loop before purchase! .

The EK-Quantum Velocity Honor will begin shipping after May 28, 2020 and will cost $250. This is a significant premium over the standard Velocity CPU block ($80 to $150), but remember that $100 of that will be donated to a good cause.

Only 200 EK-Quantum Velocity Honor will be manufactured. That's 100 of each socket version. If you like the Stars and Stripes design, don't delay.
