Razer's new Gigantus V2 3XL mousepad is bigger than my desk
[While it may seem like a silly comparison (because it is), one of the selling points of Razer's new Gigantus V2, which comes in sizes up to 3XL, is its "upgraded surface with a higher thread count weave for the perfect balance of speed and control. upgraded surface with a higher thread count weave to achieve the perfect balance of speed and control."

In other words, this is not some cheap mousepad you might find in a dingy motel room. Anyway, I disagree. Razor doesn't actually say how many threads, only that it's more than the original gigantas.

Thread counts aside, Razer offers four different sizes for the Gigantus V2:

I don't know why Razer went straight from L to XXL, but what I do know is that the XXL is as huge as its name. It is even larger than the best oversized mousepad, Corsair's MM300 Extended, which seems almost tiny in comparison. And the other M model is comparable in size to a conventional mousemat, presumably made with the same thread count weave. By the way, why don't mousepad manufacturers include thread count in their specifications? (They really don't.)

Razer also touts not only the size options and fancy weave, but also the "thick, high-density rubber foam backing" as an improvement over the previous model. For an additional $10, Razer will glamorize the design (the top, that is) with text, colors, patterns, icons, or specific game images, though not optional on the 3XL.

Gigantus V2 is available now.
