HyperX makes some of the best gaming headsets, and their Cloud Mix model offers excellent sound quality and a comfortable design, but the initial price of $200 was a bit too high for us. After several sales, the price has now reached an all-time low of $129.99, $70 off the MSRP.

The Cloud Mix is a wired gaming headset with a detachable boom mic, braided cable with in-line audio controls, dual chamber drivers to reduce audio distortion, and an aluminum frame. Sadly, charging is done via microUSB rather than the new USB Type-C connector, but this is not a problem for anyone.

In addition to wired mode, the headset can connect wirelessly via Bluetooth to listen to music on the go. Battery life is up to 20 hours in Bluetooth mode, comparable to dedicated wireless headphones.
