IGN's Summer of Gaming event postponed to June 8

IGN has postponed the start of its Summer of Gaming event from June 5 to June 8 "out of respect and support for those who are rightfully demanding justice and change in the United States and around the world."

IGN's postponement follows similar postponements of events held by Sony and CD Projekt, spurred by ongoing protests against police violence and anti-black racism in the United States and around the world. The protests have been ongoing since the May 25 killing of George Floyd by Minneapolis police officer David Shovin, and have been violently policed by police and National Guard units. Shovin has been indicted, but the three officers who stood by and watched as Floyd was murdered have not been charged.

A list of resources on the Black Lives Matter movement and protests was compiled. This includes reading lists, videos, information on how to prepare for protests, and links to donations to foundations that support protesters, families of victims, black businesses, and charitable organizations.
