General
Note: Oculus Quest can be ordered at regular price.

Trying to buy the Oculus Quest is a game in itself, and timing is everything. If you don't jump on the bandwagon at the right time, you'll have to wait for the next round before Oculus' headset inventory runs out; both Oculus and Amazon are taking orders for what seems to be the best VR headset for most people.

The caveat is that you'll have to wait several weeks between ordering and shipping; Oculus is currently offering a June 22 ship date, while Amazon is offering June 19.

Amazon only offers the 64GB model for regular price orders, so if you want the 128GB model, you will have to buy it directly from Oculus.

Waiting a few weeks is not ideal, but it is better than the previous wave of order availability. When we found ourselves trying to get our hands on Quest last month, Oculus was estimating a late July ship date. This new order will ship at the end of the month, so hopefully those who ordered will get their headsets soon.

It is also worth noting that Oculus recently pushed a software update that allows users to connect the Quest headset to a PC with a regular USB 2.0 cable. Prior to the update, a $79 Link cable or, luckily, a "high-quality" USB 3.x cable was required.
