AMD's Ryzen 7 3700X has become one of the top choices of CPUs for gaming due to its excellent price/performance value. The processor was priced at $329.99 when it first launched last year, but has since gradually dropped in price and is now available for $274.49, its lowest price to date.

This 3rd generation Ryzen processor has 8 cores, 16 threads, and a TDP of 65W. The base clock is set at 3.6 GHz, but with proper cooling, it can be brought up to at least 4.4 GHz. This CPU is also PCIe 4.0 compliant and includes a heatsink and fan.

In last year's review, we gave the Ryzen 7 3700X high marks. We did so because it offered nearly identical gaming performance for $70 less (at the time) compared to the more expensive 3900X.
