PT reproduced in Half Life: Alyx is a big no-no from me.

The Half-Life series has always been as much about horror as it is about action: there are plenty of scary sequences in Alyx, which makes it all the more unnerving because it plays in VR. But at least when Alyx prowls around in the dark, she has a gun in her virtual hand.

In this Half-Life, she doesn't have a gun: in the Alyx mod that replicates PT, she doesn't have a gun. So... Yeah, I'll skip this one.

PT, as many of you know, was a "playable teaser" by Kojima Productions and Konami, and was to be the predecessor to Silent Hills. In the playable teaser, players walk through a series of corridors that loop around each other, getting progressively scarier as they solve puzzles and encounter frightening events. Really very scary.

In VR? I can't imagine it.

Modder AmbientDruth has recreated some memorable elements of PT, such as the looping corridors, the radio that plays as you hesitantly explore, the red corridor that appears near the end, and Lisa's voice AmbientDruth will continue to work on this mod, and will be working on more "creepier triggers," more accurate lighting and props, and additional audio cues.

Below, YouTuber William McMahon, who actually plays the Half-Life: Alyx PT mod, is much braver than I am (although I still hear a lot of "nope" in McMahon's playthroughs)
